Colour Challenge

My team of fellow demonstrators has regular challenges to get us creating. This card was the result of a recent colour challenge from the group. The colours were Groovy Guava, Tempting Turquoise and Lovely Lilac! mmm?

This is what I came up with...

  

I was't sure about the colours to start with, but they grew on me. You can see I used patterned paper from the Ginger Blossoms Designer Series patterned paper range. I have stamped on the patterned paper and the cardstock using the same colour ink, so as to make my images quite subtle. The colours were so bold and I wanted to soften them using this technique. The flowers and pearls from the pretties kit, add a nice finishing touch!

Stamp Club 2009

My stamp club is looking for 6 ladies who would like to get together every 2nd month to complete a great project. Come on your own or bring a friend.

Each time you need to spend a minimum of $50 on Stampin'Up! products. This way we are always guaranteed to have a minimum of $300 per workshop, and this means that each member of the stamp club gets a turn to be the hostess, and will earn the Level 1 Hostess set and the $30 hostess dollars to spend.

Classes For Jan/Feb/Mar

I've been trying to plan my classes for 2009, I have the following outline planned

Classes will be held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month

20th January - Cards for the Year - 

Get Started on the cards you need for 2009.

We will make 6 cards, birthday cards for a female friend, a male and a child, a baby card, a thank you and a congratulations card. 

You can let me know what combination of cards you'd like to make if you'd like to make more of one type. 

This is the Thank you card we will be making, using the Afternoon Tea Designer Series Paper, the new Say it with Scallops Set and the square scallop punch.

Class will be $15 and will include everything you need. You may like to bring your paper trimmer and adhesive.

17th February - A Purse Album - Photo coming!

A 6x6 album with 4 pages and a front and back cover.

I will use the Bali Breeze designer series paper from the new summer mini ( if you have another paper you'd prefer please ask, I may be able to change your kit.)

The cost of this class will be $20 and will include 6 full sheets of Bali Breeze Designer Series Patterned paper. I will also provide ribbon and other accessories to embellish your album.

You will need to bring your own trimmer and adhesive. We will cut this album from scratch so that you learn how to cut and assemble it!
